At Eat Marketing, we believe that internal branding in marketing is more than just designing a space, it's about telling a story, shaping customer journeys, and turning food experiences into memorable moments. Our internal branding examples help food and drink businesses build meaningful connections with customers from the moment they walk through the door and keep brand consistency with their online experience.
Here's a closer look at how we've helped three unique food businesses bring their brands to life from the inside out.
Alandas Gelato: Serving storytelling with every scoop

With shops in Edinburgh and North Berwick, Alandas Gelato came to us with a delicious challenge; inject more personality into their stores and bring their brand story to the forefront. As a family-run business specialising in small-batch, award-winning gelato made with locally sourced Scottish ingredients, they had a rich narrative waiting to be shared.
We crafted a refreshed visual experience rooted in storytelling, from bespoke illustrations to charming in-store infographics and window designs that reflect their artisanal roots. New menus were introduced to improve readability, encourage upsells, and spotlight both gelato and drinks. Every detail of this internal branding in marketing was designed to spark curiosity, share the Alandas story, and ultimately drive customer sales.
Studio 13: Seasonal swaps and quirky character

For Studio 13, a vibrant dessert and ice cream shop in Machynlleth, Wales, we were asked to elevate their internal branding without losing the character they're known for. With existing brand assets in place, we focused on reimagining how the menu was displayed.
We introduced a modular 4-panel menu system mounted on a metal bar - easy to update and perfect for adding seasonal flair.
Whether it's summer treats or festive specials, Studio 13 can now switch up their offerings without compromising consistency. This internal branding example provides them with a visually engaging, flexible in-store feature that keeps customers coming back for the next quirky creation.
Rectory Road: A century of service, a modern refresh
With over 100 years of history serving the Redditch community, Rectory Road is a local institution. Our goal was to reflect their legacy while bringing a contemporary feel to their in-store experience. We developed a refreshed brand identity rooted in the history of Rectory Road, using clean typography and a modern, inviting colour palette.
This internal branding example was rolled out across a dynamic in-store plasma screen, featuring a rotating slideshow of images and videos. The content highlights menu favourites, showcases the freshness of their ingredients, and keeps customers informed and inspired while they wait while also encouraging upsell of key menu items.
Why internal branding matters
Strong internal branding in marketing bridges the gap between your brand online and your customer’s in store experience. It makes your values visible, your story tangible, and your products irresistible. Whether it's bespoke menus, clever signage, or full in-store transformations, we help food businesses make their spaces work harder and feel more like home.
