The brief

Main Street Deli, previously known as Frasers Cafe, wanted a new look for their business and to reposition the food brand as a takeaway and sandwich bar following the Covid-19 crisis.

What we did

Food that makes you smile

Prior to Eat Marketing’s rebrand, Main Street Deli was known as Frasers Cafe and linked to the fish and chip shop next door which is owned by the same family. Established in 2005, Frasers Cafe originally opened as a popular coffee shop and sit down cafe in Egremont.

However, following the government guidelines amid Covid-19, the family decided to redesign, rebrand and reopen the business as takeaway only. Customers can still enjoy homemade sandwiches, cakes and fresh coffees, but the seating area has been swapped for more prep space as the business opens up to cater for more pre-orders with click and collect.

Homemade honest food

Inline with the repositioning and redesign of the business, Eat Marketing created a new brand name ‘Main Street Deli’ accompanied by a refreshed colour palette, strapline and logo design to separate the takeaway from Frasers Fish and Chips next door.

We wanted to create a unique personality for the food brand, representing the family’s friendly personalities and their passion for fresh, homemade food. Main Street Deli’s logo uses a monochrome type approach, with the structure forming a happy face using the new strapline ‘Homemade Honest Food’ to capture exactly what the business offers. The nature of the logo design lends itself to being easily applied to other brand items such as on stickers, coffee cups or bags.

Delicious, fresh food photography is used throughout the new branding along with refreshed brand key colours of black, cream, white and an accent of pink. To ensure consistency in communication and branding moving forwards, Eat Marketing provided the Main Street Deli team with brand guidelines.

Expanding into online ordering

To support the launch of Main Street Deli’s rebrand and to help reduce the risk of face-to-face contact, we delivered an on-brand landing page design with an online ordering system integrated. This means customers can browse the Deli menu, pre-order and pay for their food online before quickly collecting on arrival at the shop.

With Eat Marketing’s online ordering landing page package, Main Street Deli could get up and running quickly. Customers can now find out more about the family-business, browse menus and order online by seamlessly being directed to Main Street Deli’s branded Preoday profile.

We also created on-brand, downloadable PDF menus, using the food brand’s new colour palette and smiling slice of bread illustration, as first featured on the landing page.
