Playful Messaging

The challenge

FryHaus was founded by a Bristol-based family of food lovers whose frequent trips to Amsterdam sparked an appreciation for its iconic fries culture, from the bold sauces to the distinctively Dutch atmosphere. Inspired to bring this experience to the UK, they set out to create a concept rooted in authentic Amsterdam-style fries, elevated through their own signature seasonings and their innovative ‘dessert fries’.

With a great concept established, FryHaus needed a launch to match. FryHaus wanted to create an iconic UK brand that could be scaled and franchised in the future, so they needed high-impact street food branding across all touchpoints - showing off their playful brand voice and unique customisable experience. That’s where Eat Marketing came in.

Building a brand

For FryHaus’ branding, we put a modern spin on Dutch themes to show their unique cultural blend.  The logo was built to show both Amsterdam's architecture and the ‘house of fries’ concept, and further branding incorporated an Amsterdam skyline made of fries and bold versions of traditional Dutch colours. Brand messaging like ‘Be bold, be saucy, be a little Dutch’ and ‘Flavour that will make you say dat is goed’ showcased the brand's playful, customisation-focused identity. We also delivered a full style guide with brand assets, detailing logo usage, typography, colour palette, and cross-channel brand application.

Print items

We developed and artworked the menu board for the FryHaus street food van, centring the design around their unique staged menu process and dessert fries. We also created the artwork and street food branding for the truck itself, incorporating FryHaus' distinctive playful messaging. Beyond this, we designed concepts for various branded items, including fry boxes and cones. We produced the artwork for stickers and greaseproof paper, refining the designs for print production.

Landing page

Ahead of the FryHaus launch, we built a website designed for success from the start. We developed an SEO and analytics-optimised Fryhaus landing page, designed to support long-term visibility and performance, providing key information such as locations, menu and contact details. We also added a custom private hire events page with a bespoke contact form, positioning FryHaus as the ideal food truck for weddings, parties and corporate functions. Our team also created a user-friendly WordPress CMS, meaning the FryHaus team could easily manage any menu, content and location updates.

A successful launch for FryHaus

We developed a cohesive brand identity for Fryhaus, capturing its unique offerings and quirky personality in a way that sets it up for future growth and expansion. Key to the launch was a visually engaging landing page, showing the brand's offerings while still optimising for performance and conversions. Consistent street food branding and messaging across all print and digital touchpoints reinforced FryHaus’ brand identity, establishing them as the essential place for Amsterdam-style fries in Bristol and beyond.
