Honest Bread

Developing a deliciously distinctive brand and website for an artisan bakery

Honest Bread

The brief

Honest Bread, an artisan bakery based in Nicosia, Cyprus, needed to develop their branding with an injection of personality and they wanted to add a distinctive look that could be rolled out onto their new website. The key aim was to build on the great following that Honest Bread has achieved from its birth in 2019, with particular emphasis on sourdough.

What we did

Honest Bread

Who

Honest Bread are an artisan bakery that creates fresh, delicious baked goods, with a modern twist and are passionate about the sourdough process. The development of the Honest brand and new website needed to reflect this and educate its audience.

What

We have elevated the brand to appeal to the target market, with the opportunity to keep and grow a loyal following for this unique food brand. We also applied our skills in food marketing to the digital marketplace, to help Honest Bread go one step further with a modern, yet honest, online presence. This involved a photoshoot (which we attended at the crack of dawn – 3am to be exact!) to capture the beautiful products expertly handcrafted in the Honest Bread kitchen and brand development, which included a new font and brand messaging.

This new look helped Honest Bread stand out amongst competitors as their quirky, yet transparent, brand messaging established their bold tone of voice, as well as their knowledge of all things sourdough.

The user-friendly website also conveys the Honest Bread brand story and helps them create a personal connection with users – emphasising that they are more than just a bakery. We also applied our food marketing expertise to their new online menu designs, website design and development, including online ordering integration to maximise online delivery to a wider audience.

Packaging that leaves a lasting impression

We’ve recently been working with Honest Bread to create quirky seasonal packaging in the form of boxes for customers to take away their deliciously festive panettone. The key aim with the boxes was to bring a smile to customers faces, add an extra layer to the Honest Bread brand, and make the experience of visiting the bakery more personal.

Honest Bread Packaging

Through the packaging we were able to introduce new colours into the branding, allowing us to create something bold, eye-catching and fun. From the textured patterns that visually represent the layers of a pastry, to an illustrated wintery scene of the bakery featured on their festive packaging, these assets add a new element to the brand, with the addition of playful copy that entices the customer, remaining true to Honest Bread.

Their new branding is fresh and modern, and can be used across all marketing communications, ensuring brand consistency throughout. With the addition of their new custom made pastry boxes elevating their brand further, and adding to the overall customer experience.

“Eat Marketing has always been one of our favourites in the industry. They designed our website from scratch and produced content for all our social media outlets that targets our clientele, honours our products and work and most importantly stays true to who we are. We saw an immediate increase in our social media presence and reached 10k within a few months! And our business has received more orders and attention. They took the time to understand who we are as a company and gave us amazing marketing plans to choose from. We wholeheartedly recommend Eat Marketing to everyone we know!”
