So when it comes to top places to eat in the UK, we have a few great suggestions from some of the fantastic independent companies we’ve worked with.

Feast on Fish and Chips

We’re big fish and chips fans here and as the nation’s favourite takeaway dish, you’re often spoilt for choice when it comes to picking where to go.

If you’re in Scotland, head over to The Bay Fish and Chips, Stonehaven, an award-winning fish and chip shop set on Stonehaven Beach that has been ranked as one of the world’s top food experiences by the Lonely Planet Guide 2019. They’re big on sustainable, locally-sourced fish and chips and their aim is to always serve environmentally friendly food, right from the sea to your fork.

Another great Scottish fish and chip shop find is Alandas in North Berwick. Not only does this tasty find serve freshly cooked fish and chips, they pride themselves on their delicious, varied menu that also includes wood-fired pizza, tasty Scottish seafood and their homemade gelato!

For fish and chip lovers in the Midlands, head to Sixty Fish in Coleshill, Birmingham. With both a takeaway and seating area, Sixty Fish proudly serves freshly cooked food tried and tested by three generations of this family run business.

For those of you living in and around Derbyshire, or, if you’re passing by, head to Zan Fish who have shops dotted all over Derby! With over 45 years’ experience, the Zan Fish team know how to cook and serve delicious, freshly cooked restaurant and takeaway food that will keep you coming back again… and again.

Oh and, Zan Fish are busy with their latest venture; Zan Fish Grill where as well as serving up their usual tasty fare of fish, chips and more, they’ll be bringing the real taste of the Mediterranean to Derby. Get ready for brand new charcoal flavours and recipes including vegan and vegetarian options.

Delicious Dining

For those of you looking for a restaurant with delicious food, we highly recommend Larder Lichfield, a relaxed, fine dining restaurant in Litchfield. The emphasis here is on being ingredient-led, so they can offer all the flavour of a fine dining experience without the pomp. Using fresh, seasonal produce, their menus offer everything from a seven course tasting menu experience, to light lunches and a fantastic Sunday lunch.

We’ve been working with a wonderful seafood restaurant called Churches Mansion Restaurant and Bar, a speciality seafood restaurant based in Nantwich that’s just opened. Set in a historic building, we’re confident this fantastic new restaurant will take Nantwich by storm!

For those of you who enjoy a seaside view, we highly recommend Platten’s Season Restaurant. Situated just a few feet away from Wells Next The Sea’s stunning Harbour, their passion for creating exceptional dishes from locally sourced ingredients and produce promises a dining experience full of taste.
